If you don’t know about our NYE 2012 party in Portland, now you do.
Anyway, we’ve been working with an SF based startup called HumanVest whose algorithm uses social data to calculate relative trust between individuals… it has tons of very cool applications and we just got it integrated into the PowerUp site. The databases are populating now but it basically means this — (very soon) when you click the big “see who’s going” button and connect with the app it will display people in your social circle who’ve already purchased their tickets. Right now they only connect with Facebook but Twitter, Linkedin, etc are coming soon.
Basically, what they aim to add a relationship based element of trust into online purchasing, review sites, etc. For us – it just shows you who in your social circle has already purchased their ticket to the only NYE party in Portland that matters. It’s not showing up quite yet but we’ve got a ton of tickets sold so it will be soon. :)

Worry no more friends, we have you covered for New Years Eve in Portland. Last year’s PowerUp was a great start, but this year we’ve got something special in store for you. With the rugged, industrial, no BS feel of our party in mind, Leftbank Annex is the perfect venue. If you aren’t familiar with PowerUp, let me explain:
PowerUp 2013 is an all inclusive guest list only 21+ New Years Eve party. PowerUp is not a stuck up wannabe classy Portland nightlife event.. It is a loosen your tie, relax, and enjoy cool music and good people kind of evening. Our event will provide a safe NYE experience with over the top, first class entertainment, great service, and one hell of a time.
Get it? Got it? Good. In the greatroom, upstairs, we’ll have Cloudn9ne & YoHuck spinning everything you can imagine, a special guest performance, the wildest guy I know hosting, and all kinds of other awesome stuff. The cluboom in the basement will be all EDM all night. Tickets are $65 until the 25th and are all inclusive. This idea was born as a house party and we try and maintain as much of that as possible — no bar tab for you! Buy your ticket and we’ve got you covered. We also have a limited number of Top Shelf tickets available with which you get access to the good stuff as well as VIP mezzanine Tickets..
Tickets are available in advance only. This party will sell out and there will be no tickets available at the door. Also, we’ll have an incredible evening and bring in 2013 like champions. You don’t wanna miss that.

We’re throwing the same awesome party this year but we’re doing it much bigger and much better. The venue is beautiful and the entertainment over the top.

- LandforcePowerUp 2012 went off this weekend with a sold out NYE celebration in Portland. While we’ve still got tons of photos to sort through and share with you, now is a good time to drop off a promo video for all of those who didn’t make it and announce that PowerUp is coming again this Spring!
That’s right, PowerUp is going to be a quarterly party here in Portland, and best of all we’re going to be bringing some entertainment to the table as well. Each party will have a guest performance from some big time up and comers. No, not the tired a$$ local hip hop concerts we all hate. This is a party first and foremost, and will feature guest performances from some of the dopest acts in the blog/college music scene.
The first PowerUp sold out and left tons of people without tickets. The next one will be the same. Make sure to “Like” PowerUp on Facebook to stay in the loop and get your tickets when their available for our Spring event. Details TBA.

Last Monday, we put down a deposit on a Warehouse on the Eastside for an epic open bar New Years Eve party called PowerUp 2012! The spot looks out onto downtown Portland and is the perfect setting for the only NYE party in Portland that my Dirty Laces familia will want to get down with. PowerUp 2012 tickets are $45 Advance, $60 at the door, and include OPEN BAR ALL NIGHT! That’s called damage control my friends. This is a sucker free zone. #PowerUpPDX

WHAT: A New Years Eve party in a 2nd story warehouse on the east side that overlooks downtown Portland, with an open bar, great people and atmosphere, and photographers.
WHERE: 109 SE Salmon St, Portland, OR 97214
WHY: Because we’ve done the tired, clubby, “free champagne toast” thing… and we’re over it.
WHEN: December 31st, 2011 – 9pm – 2am
The warehouse space is being reformatted to create a dance floor, stage, seating areas and 2 full bars, with the west wall looking out across downtown Portland.
Two full bars staffed by drink slangin’ animals will be handily supplied with Liquor, Beer, & of course Champagne. This is a fully permitted and professionally stocked event/bar… we will not be running out of booze.
The night will be captured on both photo and video by RDS, with photos available for free after the event.

Shoot, I’ve been meaning to throw this post up for a minute and a half! Tomorrow night is one I’m excited about, thanks to our friends at Hip Hop Junkies for getting us involved.. We’ve got a hip hop / fashion showcase going down at Someday Lounge in Portland. It showcases several local brands/designers and hiphop acts, among them is of course, my favorite white rapper @PropaneLV.
