I feel terrible for this girl. She wins an award and gets to present the “Viewers Choice Award” at the BET Awards (excited). She announces the winner as Chris Brown, but quickly corrects herself and announces Rihanna as the winner (confused). Terrance steps in and announces Drake as the winner (horrified). She’s bawling backstage (mortified).
Turns out she was right all along and Chris Brown was the way. Big ups to BET for this blunder. Hope they apologized….
Suave Deboniar has been making music for quite a long time– how long? Let’s just say that he was recording his first bars on cassette tapes. “Though that was probably [because] we didn’t have a computer rather than that shit not being invented yet. I didn’t necessarily know that music was the thing I wanted to do I just knew I didn’t [want to] sit at a desk plus I’m bad a building stuff so a trade was not going to work for me. I always had a big mouth though; the rest just fell into place,” explained Debonair.
Oh what! Imagine my surprise when I saw the track info on this one. I love the concept and I don’t hate the way it came together with Luda… but I think he coulda done the track a little better on this crossover remix without mentioning stacking hundreds and hot wheels. It’s still cool though. Sometimes, it is the thought that counts.
This is far and away the most commercial I have ever heard Fashawn sound. I don’t mean that in a negative way by any means. This track and video is super hot.
Well, I must say I wasn’t expecting this to be the next thing we heard from Weezy. What a pleasant surprise. After his cross genre failure Rebirth, Wayne has been going strong with bangers, and I have no complaints about that, but here he comes with an acoustic track that’s nice as hell top to bottom. I will say that there is no way in hell he wrote it… but that’s fine cuz this isn’t rap, it’s music. Thank you Weezy.
I get further and further away from enjoying pure rap all the time, I really do, but stuff like this keeps me around. There we’re a few Prodigy tracks floating around after this weekend, but these 2 I really liked. Sun out, windows down, Prodigy’s grimy ass voice turned way the hell up. Hello, Monday.
So now that it is getting close to summer it’s time to start celebrating by spending way too much money on a bottle of Champagne at the club. I know you all have seen it happen and some of you have done it. I personally have been woken up the next day after a crazy night from B of A calling me because my account was overdrawn by $300. Lets just say it was a fun night, even though I don’t remember any of it. Jump for more. Continue reading →
For the last 6 years there has been no crossover between my favorite internet sites and my favorite TV channels. I find myself only watching ESPN, HBO or The Office on TV because everything else sucks, even Entourage lost it’s way. I guess there is no place for me or you, unless you are a teeny-bopper or a hopeless romantic who gets glued to the TV for the 5 hour Bachelor finally…
Well that’s how I used to feel, until I heard about Karmaloop X Pharrell’s collaborative Television Network.
The Karmaloop TV network has been in the works for a while now. I remember hearing bits and pieces about it when I visited the Karmaloop headquarters in Boston a couple years ago and now it’s finally here. Check out this video I posted at the top from Karmaloop TV and Pharrell to get a glimpse of what is to come from the network.
I don’t know if you all are as excited about this as I am, but you need to be!! This is one of the coolest things to happen for our generation. Finally, we have a voice among the television networks and it’s not talking about pregnant 16-year-old’s or steroided/gelled/drunk New Jerseyans, don’t get me wrong I love Jersey Shore but MTV has lost their way. I wonder why MTV forgot about us, the 18-30 year old’s. We grew up with MTV and now we have nothing to show for it. It’s okay though, I forgive MTV for their wackness only because Karmaloop is about to change everything. I am very excited for all my friends at Karmaloop and I wish them continued success, and I’m also excited for all of us because our entertainment lives are about to change. Karmaloop Killed the TV Star.
